About Shay

Life stressors and challenges can take a lot out of you. They can leave you feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or lost. It can be tough to adjust to the changes in the world and adapt to current realities. Hardships can challenge you to tap into your strengths and build up your resiliency. The path to healing doesn’t need to be travelled alone. I’m here to work along side you as you regain control over your life and feel good again. Let’s take the steps together to recenter and refuel so that you can feel like your best self.

My lived experiences as a black woman, an immigrant, a person with a physical disability, and a Human Resources professional provide me with a unique perspective. Through my intersectionalities, I appreciate the different factors that colour the way each person experiences challenges and their impact on how they show up personally and professionally. I work with individuals dealing with anxiety, workplace stressors and career questioning, multicultural issues, self-esteem, relationship challenges, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If you want to shift to a more positive mindset, I'm happy to help!

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and psychotherapist-in-training, I offer both in person and virtual psychotherapy services. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a post graduate certificate in human resources management.

During our time together, I will draw from different modalities such as Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy along with Trauma Informed approaches.
