Trauma-PTSD, Complex Trauma, Anxiety, Complex Grief, Concussions, Sleep, Relationships, Life Transitions, Stress
Life events, traumas, big and small, can really throw you off course and leave a lasting impact. They may affect you at many levels including mentally, emotionally, and physically. These experiences can taint how you perceive yourself and others, negatively impact your relationships and your work, and it can be hard to break away from their hold on you. You might come to realize that you are not living your best life and wish you could feel like yourself again. It would be great to feel resilient and be able to live life more intentionally. And this is exactly what I hope to help you with.
For almost 20 years, my areas of focus as a bilingual Registered Psychotherapist have included anxiety, depression, challenging life transitions, grief, post-concussion syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder and complex PTSD, sleep difficulties, relationship issues, and stress management. Since 2007, I have been specializing in treating various forms of trauma, both recent and past, with a broad spectrum of clients including BIPOC and LGTBQ2S+ clients. I believe traumas are a result of events, big or small, that can leave lasting emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual impacts. We often hear of the 'big' traumas, but every day events such as bullying, childhood neglect, rejection, injuries, or a medical diagnosis can all have a traumatic effect on a person.
In addition to my work in private practice, I worked eight years in the non-profit sector offering psychotherapy to newcomers and vulnerable people. I provided crisis intervention and long-term therapy to individuals suffering from pre and post-migration challenges, transgenerational issues, integration difficulties, discrimination and racism, and PTSD. I offered psychotherapy to victims of war trauma, torture, political persecution, and sexual assault. Working with this clientele and an internationally trained team of clinicians, has helped me develop a global understanding of and a broader approach to treating mental health issues.
I am a psychodynamic, client-centred therapist. I integrate complementary methodologies to offer a personalized approach tailored to each person. I often include EMDR, Brainspotting, somatic and parts work, and CBT therapies to my intervention. With compassion and understanding, I aim to create an inclusive space and work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and address personal life challenges.
I hold a MEd in Educational Counselling, a BA Honours in Psychology, and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I am also a Certified EMDR Therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and a member of EMDR Canada. I am completing my certification in Brainspotting.

Anxiety, Life Transitions, Relationship Issues, Trauma, Stress, Burnout, Identity and Cultural Issues
Life’s challenges can take a lot out of you. At times they can leave you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply exhausted. Navigating changes in relationships, work, identity, or life circumstances can feel heavy, especially when you feel like you have to carry it on your own. You don’t have to.
I believe healing and growth happen in safe, supportive spaces where you feel seen and heard. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths, explore what matters most to you, and begin creating meaningful change in your life.
My lived experiences as a Black woman, immigrant, and person with a physical disability allow me to appreciate how identity, culture, and life experiences shape the way we move through the world. These perspectives help me approach therapy with curiosity, openness, and respect for each client’s unique story. I’m especially mindful of how culture, identity, and lived experiences can shape the way we experience stress, healing, and connection.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, identity and cultural concerns, relationship challenges, self-esteem struggles, burnout and trauma related concerns. I also support individuals who are exploring questions about belonging, purpose, and navigating life transitions.
My approach to therapy is integrative and client-centred. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering virtual psychotherapy services. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resources Management, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
You are the expert in your own story. My role is to support you as you find your voice, explore new perspectives, and move toward a more grounded and fulfilling life. If this resonates with you, I welcome you to book a consultation to get started.

Anxiety, Relationship issues, Motherhood and Parenting, Grief, Burnout, Self Esteem, Trauma
Life can feel like a constant balancing act—between work, relationships, family, and all the invisible tasks that fill our days. In the midst of this, it’s easy to lose touch with yourself and the deeper sense of meaning you long for. Therapy can be a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.
Following over a decade of experience in coaching and somatic work, helping people navigate trauma, stress, and life transitions, I am now practicing as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). This background grounds my therapeutic approach in both professional training and lived practice.
In our work together, we’ll focus not only on your thoughts and emotions but also on how experiences live in the body. Somatic therapy is a gentle, body-based approach that helps regulate the nervous system, release stress patterns, and foster resilience. This can be especially supportive when words alone don’t capture the depth of what you’re going through. I'll also bring in other evidence-based approaches including CBT and EMDR therapy.
I work with individuals who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, burnout, grief, relationship and attachment concerns, and the transitions of new motherhood. My style is collaborative, steady, and compassionate. I believe healing is less about fixing and more about uncovering the resilience and wisdom you already carry. Together, we’ll explore patterns, practice new tools, and create space for growth at a pace that feels right for you.
If you’re curious about whether we might be a good fit, I’d be glad to connect for an initial consultation.

Individual and Couples, Perinatal Mental Health, Grief, Life Transitions, Anxiety, Trauma, LGBTQ2S+
Life’s challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed, lost, and unsure of how to move forward. Therapy could be the opportunity you’re looking for to help you discover new insights, learn skills, and enter the next phase of your life with courage and resilience.
As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and psychotherapist-in-training, I offer a warm, collaborative space where we will explore your story with care and curiosity. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection — with ourselves, with our culture, and with others.
I have a special affinity for working with:
- Survivors of gender-based violence, including sexual assault and abuse in families and relationships;
- University students and professionals navigating life, identity, work, and relationship pressures;
- Couples and family members who want to break free of repeating harmful patterns in their relationship.
Our work together will move at your pace and will focus on what matters to you. Modalities that may inform our process include: traumatic memory processing, cognitive restructuring (CBT), values
clarification (ACT), somatics (body work), nervous system regulation, and fostering secure relationship connections (EFT). I am working toward certification in EMDR and would be happy to explore this with you as treatment for trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, or grief.
As an Asian-Canadian, cisgender, bi/pan individual, I welcome clients from all backgrounds and walks of life, including trans and other LGBTQ2S+ folks.
If you’re looking for support rooted in empathy, attunement, and humour, I invite you to connect with me. I would be honoured to accompany you on your journey.

Individual and Couples, Perinatal Mental Health, Anxiety, Motherhood & Parenting, Burnout, Self Esteem, Trauma
People don’t come to therapy because life is easy, they come because something feels heavy. You might be carrying more than you expected, or simply wanting things to feel different. Whatever brings you here, this is a space where we can slow things down and make sense of it together.
With over a decade of experience as a physician in medicine and surgery, who has transitioned into a career in mental health, I bring a strong understanding of both the body and mind. I hope to help you make sense of what you’re going through with a holistic, informed perspective.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Trauma-informed Therapy. We begin with a person-centered foundation, building a strong connection and then tailoring the work to your unique needs and goals.
I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, and trauma, as well as those navigating motherhood, parenting, and perinatal mental health. I also work with concerns regarding relationships, self-esteem, and life-transitions, including career changes. My professional and lived experiences allow me to connect deeply and support meaningful change.
I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, being multilingual (Arabic/English/French).
If you’re looking for a therapist who will truly listen, understand, and support you, I would be happy to connect. You’re welcome to book a consultation to see if we are a good fit – it would be a privilege to accompany you on your journey toward healing.

Anxiety, Burnout, Depression, Grief and Mourning, Life Transitions, Chronic Stress, Parents and Caregivers
Life transitions, ongoing stress, and experiences of loss can leave you feeling off‑course in ways that are hard to put into words. They can show up in your body, mood, relationships, and sense of self, and you may notice that you no longer feel like yourself. In therapy, I aim to offer a steady, grounded space where we can listen closely to what you are carrying, make sense of how past and present are connected, and support you in moving toward what feels most authentic and right for you—you know yourself best.
My clinical interests include working with adults and older adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, grief and mourning, chronic stress, or major life transitions. I also have a particular interest in supporting parents—including new parents, seasoned parents, and sandwich‑generation caregivers—as they navigate the emotional layers of caring for others while trying to stay connected to themselves. Finally, with over two decades in the music and arts community, I bring a nuanced understanding of the unique stresses and identities of people working in creative fields.
My approach integrates contemporary psychodynamic and attachment theories, a biopsychosocial perspective, and Internal Family Systems, along with practical tools from CBT and solution‑focused work when they are helpful. In practice, this means we may explore how early experiences and relational patterns shape your current struggles, while also paying attention to present‑moment sensations in the body and to the broader social and cultural context of your life. I view social location and intersectionality as central to mental health and am committed to ongoing cultural awareness and self‑reflection. I strive to offer an affirming, inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ clients, and I welcome people of all sexual orientations and gender identities into my practice.
Clients tend to experience me as warm, open, and nonjudgmental. I am collaborative and reflective, and I invite us to move at a pace that feels safe for you as we bring what has been in the shadows into the light with care and curiosity.
