About Tina

Life can be tough sometimes, the good thing is you do not need to face it alone. We will work collaboratively to better understand your experience, alleviate its impact on you, and equip you with coping tools. With the use of a variety of therapeutic approaches and a multicultural framework, I will tailor the therapy to suit your needs and help you attain your goals.

I work virtually with adolescents (14+) and adults from all backgrounds in a safe, open, and non-judgmental environment with the aim to understand your worldview and your experiences in it. I can help with anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, multicultural issues, relationship issues, stress, and trauma (PTSD). In a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive framework, I can assist using Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS)​, Narrative, and Strength-Based therapies.

Previously, I have worked with a variety of clients experiencing trauma, relationship difficulties, discrimination and racism experiences, ADHD, and people with chronic illnesses. I have also worked adults in homeless shelters experiencing difficult life transitions and those struggling with addictions. I have also worked with youth who have behavioural issues in a mental health rehabilitation center. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) and an EMDR Therapist. I have completed my Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology and possess a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Based on my experiences and education, I have garnered an empathetic perception of the uniqueness of each individual’s life struggles.

I am a caring, dedicated, and nonjudgmental psychotherapist with several years’ experience working in the social services field. I believe that you are the expert of your own life and my role as your therapist is to serve as a guide as you work towards your goals.
