Life stressors can significantly impact you. You may feel anxious, have obsessive thoughts, and seem unable to move past things. You may become overwhelmed, have difficulty concentrating or staying organized, feel moody, or have sleep issues. You might also struggle with school, work, or relationships. Coping and figuring out how to manage can sometimes be difficult. Through therapy, we can aim to develop strategies to make things easier for you. We can work together to identify what is holding you back and impacting you in order to resolve it and no longer experience it the same way.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering individual psychotherapy services in-person and online.
I work with adolescents aged 15+ and adults from a variety of backgrounds. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for everyone I work with. I strive to work collaboratively with my clients to achieve a better understanding of the perpetuating factors related to their presenting issue. I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and multicultural issues (e.g., struggles with cultural identity, integration, and discrimination).
In my work, I draw upon several modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapies, and Trauma-Informed Care. I
will carefully tailor my approach to meet your needs.
Having lived both abroad and in Canada, I have acquired diverse life experiences. I have previously worked as an attendant to students with disabilities. Through work and lived experiences, I have gained invaluable knowledge of empowering marginalized populations. I strive to be an advocate for each of my client’s well-being. I am also Mental Health First Aid Certified. Previously, I completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology.
I understand that everyone’s journey is unique. Therefore, I aim to provide an environment, catered to your needs. With compassion and understanding, I invite you to venture on your path towards healing.
